Our Promise to You

We know that surgery can be scary!

But the veterinarians at The Cat Hospital are extremely experienced, and we're dedicated to giving your kitty the most stress-free surgical care possible.

We've all been in your shoes at one time or another with our own kitties — so we know firsthand how nerve-wracking it can be to have your pet undergo surgery.

Our promise to you is that we will see to your cat's safety and comfort as if it were our own pet.

From routine spays and neuters to advanced orthopedic procedures, Dr. Wade and his surgical team have experience in a broad range of surgical procedures

Our hospital is equipped with an excellent surgical suite, and you can rest assured that your precious pet is in the best, most experienced hands available for feline surgery when you come to The Cat Hospital.

Overview of the Surgical Process

We carefully screen each cat prior to any surgical procedure being performed. This is to ensure that they are healthy enough to proceed.

Older cats and also kitties with existing medical conditions benefit from this screening, because they can be more at risk during surgery. Pre-surgical screening assists us in identifying potential risk factors in advance, which means lower risk for your kitty.

The more prepared we are in advance of the surgery, the better the chances of a smooth, uneventful procedure.

Once kitty is cleared for surgery, we'll create an individualized plan for pain management.

Our goal is keep your feline friend pain-free. We do this by working to prevent pain before it even begins, so that your cat has as little stress as possible afterwards.

Communication with our cat moms and dads has always been a top priority The Cat Hospital, and surgery days are especially important. We'll take the time to explain to you what to expect, and to answer your questions as thoroughly as we can.

Then we'll take time to get your kitty as relaxed and comfortable as we can.

When we're ready to begin, we'll administer the safest protocol of anesthesia.

When the surgery begins, the doctor will work as efficiently as possible, without rushing. We make an effort to minimize the amount of time your kitty will be under anesthesia, as this reduces the risks associated with all anesthetic procedures.

Meanwhile, our experienced veterinary technicians will assist the doctor by closely monitoring your cat throughout the procedure.

Once the surgery is complete, your kitty will be relocated to our recovery area. Our care team will make sure that your cat is as pain-free as possible as s/he comes out of anesthesia.

One of our team members will contact you to let you know how things went, and when you can pick up your pet.

Before your bring your loved one home, we'll spend time with you to review how to care for kitty at home during the recovery process.
